I'm a freelance investigative journalist working around themes of environmental and social justice. My journalism incorporates on-the-ground reporting with open source information techniques and data analysis to build compelling, nuanced and timely stories. I'm currently based in Mexico.

My route into journalism was unconventional. Previously working as a mechanic, electrician and carpenter on London's houseboats, I bring an analytical and diagnostic perspective to my work.

I've completed courses on investigative techniques with the Centre for Investigative Journalism in London, hold an NCTJ (UK journalism qualification) and a MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance from Oxford University.

I speak English, Spanish and Dutch.
